Openasia Group - Empowering the Young Generation in 2024

Driven by a commitment to human-centric sustainable development and a dedication to investing in the next generation, Openasia believes that cultivating passion and creativity among students since their university years will empower them to become exceptional individuals across all aspects. Beyond offering career and internship opportunities, Openasia is committed to fostering an environment where young talents can achieve holistic development, encompassing professional expertise, career, and lifestyle.  

Throughout 2024, Openasia further reinforced this commitment by forging deep and diverse partnerships with top-tier universities both in Vietnam and internationally, including British University Vietnam (BUV), RMIT Vietnam, VinUniversity, the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), the Centre Franco-Vietnamien de Formation à la Gestion (CFVG), and the National Economics University (NEU). These collaborations have been implemented in a wide range of activities, from strategic partnerships in student competitions and active participation in career fairs, to expert-led sessions as guest speakers on topics such as event management, digital transformation, and human resources management. Openasia also co-hosted numerous site visits to the corporate offices and the subsidiaries, providing students with valuable insights into business operations and practices within the luxury fashion, fine dining, and traditional arts sectors. 

British University Vietnam (BUV) - Igniting passion and creativity   

Entering the second year of a strategic partnership with British University Vietnam (BUV), Openasia maintained a strong presence alongside the university throughout 2024, delivering practical experiences and valuable professional insights to students across BUV's academic disciplines. 

Starting in 2024, Openasia and Hanoia partnered as strategic sponsors for the 4th season of the Z Marketer – a nationwide competition for marketing students – presented a compelling case study focused on connecting Gen Z with the traditional art of lacquer through Hanoia's products and brand. The competition featured the participation of Mr. Dinh Cong Tai – Director of Sales & Marketing, Hanoia – who participated as a judge and provided expert mentorship. 
Openasia Group and the subsidiaries continued to participate in the 2024 BUV Career Fair, showcasing the wellness and lifestyle ecosystem and introducing internship opportunities to BUV students. 
In June 2024, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh - Event Director, Opal - generously shared her practical expertise in event management as a guest speaker for students in the Event Management program. 

 Capping off a dynamic year of collaboration with BUV, Openasia was proud to be recognized for significant contributions to young people and BUV students specifically at the “BUV Corporate Appreciation & Student Projects Showcase”. 

Openasia Group is proud to be a part of the students' development journey and looks forward to continuing the partnership with BUV in future projects. 

RMIT University Vietnam - Leading talents in the digital age   

As a strategic partner of RMIT University Vietnam for the past three years, Openasia has consistently focused on supporting and developing RMIT’s young talents. In addition to annual activities such as the RMIT Career Festival and office tours, Openasia also provided practical professional knowledge as a guest expert for the "Leading in the age of digital disruption" course within the MBA program. Notably, 2024 also marks the first year Openasia introduced the Talent Management program to over 200 Human Resource Management students in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City through a series of workshops in collaboration with RMIT Vietnam. 

Openasia proudly marked the third consecutive year of participating in the annual RMIT Career Fair, which provided valuable information about the wellness and lifestyle sector, the distinctive work culture, and career opportunities within the Openasia ecosystem. 
This year also highlighted a new collaboration between RMIT Saigon Campus and Tam Son – a member of Openasia Group – through a visit and experience at Tam Son's creative workspace in Ho Chi Minh City. RMIT students enjoyed the opportunity to immerse themselves in the distinctive cultural atmosphere of Le Monde d'Hermès Kiosk 2024, where visitors could explore Hermès's creations and gain deeper insights into this leading luxury brand through Le Monde d’Hermès magazine. 

VinUniversity - Shaping the future of young generation   

2024 also marked the beginning of a promising partnership between Openasia and VinUniversity. In this first year of collaboration, Openasia cooperated with VinUniversity to bring students a chance to explore Openasia's ecosystem and gain insights from experts in operations and communications within the luxury retail and services sector. 

VinUni Career Day 2024 offered students the chance to explore the businesses within Openasia's Wellness & Lifestyle ecosystem through a range of interactive activities and brought home Openasia merchandise. 
The workshop "Marketing in Luxury Retail" from Tam Son Marketing & Communication department, combined with a visit to Openasia building, proved a highly engaging experience for VinUni students. 
VinUni Operations Management students had the opportunity to meet with and gained insights from Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Food & Beverage Manager, La Table Hanoia - regarding the operational and management procedures of a fine-dining restaurant. 

Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) - Nurturing knowledge, paving the way for success  

Within the strategic partnership between the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) and Openasia, the Academy's Training Department collaborated with Ms. Do Thuy Trang – Group Talent Acquisition Lead of Openasia Group, and Ms. Pham Minh Hoa - Head of Recruitment Consulting at Adecco Vietnam, to successfully organized the "First Step to Start Your Career" workshop. The event provided over 100 students with practical tools and essential CV writing and interview skills, providing a solid foundation for their journey into the competitive labor market.   

The workshop took place in a friendly and open atmosphere, providing valuable insights for DAV students. 

CFVG - A bridge of multiculturalism  

In 2024, CFVG further strengthened the role as a key facilitator connecting Openasia with promising young talents in Vietnam and abroad. Openasia Group, in partnership with Hanoia, welcomed international students from EM Lyon Business School, with a visit to the Hanoi office and the immersive cultural experience at the Hanoia cultural space at 38 Hang Dao. 

Mr. Dinh Cong Tai, a representative of Hanoia, together with the international students, explored the creative process behind the exquisite lacquer collections, highlighting how the traditional beauty of Vietnamese culture were skillfully woven into each design. 

National Economics University (NEU) - Partnering to build sustainable knowledge 

In November 2024, the Faculty of Environment, Climate Change & Urban Studies, National Economics University (NEU), held the annual Scholarship Award and Student Scientific Research Kick-off Ceremony. At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Truong expressed his gratitude to Openasia Group, the main sponsor, for the continuous support to the faculty over the past 6 years. 

Mrs. Ngo Van Anh - Deputy CEO of Openasia Group - reaffirmed the company's commitment to ongoing support of the university through scholarships, training initiatives, and recruitment opportunities, further emphasizing Openasia’s dedication to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility. 

Through partnerships with universities, Openasia has gone beyond offering diverse employment and internship opportunities, aspiring to inspire and cultivate a thriving community of young talents where students are empowered to share their passions, and knowledge, and nurture their aspirations for personal and professional ambitions.
