2025 marked a milestone as Openasia Group hosted its first-ever Finance & Accounting Summit, bringing together professionals from the Finance & Accounting vertical across all member companies. Under the theme “From Books to Bots”, the event was not only a chance to connect but also a starting point for a bold transformation—from traditional processes to a smarter, digital future.

Day 1: Connecting Through Creative Collaboration

The summit began with personal introductions and a hands-on workshop making handcrafted soap, where participants collaborated to complete puzzle pieces forming the Openasia logo. The warm, creative atmosphere helped break the ice and foster natural connections among colleagues from different companies.

The evening featured a heartfelt sharing session led by Chief Accountants from member companies. Their stories, experiences, and reflections created a space of empathy and understanding, strengthening the sense of community within the Finance & Accounting network.

Day 2: Reflection – Direction – Innovation

The second day began with a session led by Senior Finance Manager of Openasia Group, using the “Rose – Thorn – Bud” framework to reflect on the journey of the Finance & Accounting function across the Group:

This session offered a comprehensive view of the department’s performance and inspired a spirit of contribution and continuous improvement.

Following that, CFO of Openasia Group delivered an inspiring talk on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in Finance & Accounting. Real-world examples, emerging tech trends, and opportunities for process innovation opened up a new perspective—where technology empowers people to work smarter, not be replaced.
