JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE
•    Develop and maintain the company’s quality standards system to ensure millwork projects meet the highest standards of quality, aesthetics, and functionality.
•    Oversee and control the quality of furniture products, from raw materials to finished products, meeting client requirements and international standards.
•    Contribute to improving production and quality processes, optimizing efficiency, and minimizing errors in furniture projects.

SCOPE OF WORK / RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Establish and Implement Quality Systems:
    • Develop, update, and maintain quality assurance/control (QA/QC) standards for millwork and furniture projects.
    • Create processes, templates, and guidelines for quality inspections aligned with project requirements and industry standards.
    • Train team members on quality standards and quality control procedures.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct quality inspections of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products throughout the production process.
    • Monitor and evaluate quality at various stages of production, assembly, and finishing for millwork projects.
    • Identify and resolve quality-related issues, collaborating with relevant departments to implement timely solutions.
    • Prepare periodic quality reports, analyze data, and propose process improvements.
  • Project Collaboration and Oversight:
    • Work closely with design, production, and technical teams to ensure products meet technical drawings and client specifications.
    • Participate in on-site or factory inspections to ensure quality during installation.
    • Support supplier evaluations and monitor the quality of incoming materials.
  • Compliance with Standards and Regulations:
    • Ensure products and processes comply with international standards (e.g., ISO, FSC, or relevant industry standards).
    • Stay updated on new quality and safety regulations in the furniture industry.

JOB REQUIREMENT

1 – Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Furniture Technology, Wood Technology, Quality Management, or similar)
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading) for communication with international partners and understanding technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or quality management tools.

2 – Relevant experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC, with a preference for candidates with experience in the furniture industry or millwork projects.
  • Experience with international furniture projects or working with foreign clients.

3 – Skills

Technical Skills 

  • In-depth knowledge of furniture materials (wood, metal, fabric, paint, etc.) and millwork production processes.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing technical drawings, shop drawings, and related technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose process improvements.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • High sense of responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, and a focus on quality.
